This site is sponsored and maintained by ORTHODOX CHRISTIAN SYNERGY, a pan-Orthodox organization consisting of clergy and lay representatives of Chicago-area Orthodox Christian parishes who seek to project awareness of Orthodox Christianity to the public at large. SYNERGY works together with its parent organization, the Orthodox Christian Clergy Association of Greater Chicago, and with the blessings of the Chicago-area Orthodox Hierarchs.

SYNERGY is always looking for new members! E-mail the webmaster contacts if you are interested in joining us.

Archbishop Job - Memory Eternal!

His Eminence Archbishop Job of the OCA's Diocese of Chicago and the Midwest died suddenly on December 18, 2009. OCA Metropolitan Jonah presided over funeral vigil on December 22 and the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy on December 23, both at Holy Trinity Cathedral (OCA) in Chicago.  In addition to members of the OCA Holy Synod and His Grace Bishop Mark of the Antiochian Diocese of Toledo and the Midwest, other local hierarchs present were: His Grace Bishop Demetrios of the Greek Archdiocese's Metropolis of Chicago, His Grace Bishop Daniel of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the USA, and His Grace Bishop Peter of Cleveland, Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia. Vladyka Job was buried behind the altar of his beloved first parish of St. John the Baptist in Black Lick, PA, where he had been planning to retire in 2011.
