| It was December 6, 1988, and Fr. Philip Koufos was just about to celebrate Divine Liturgy for his church's patron saint, Nicholas the Wonder-worker. As Father Koufos lit the lamps in the front of the iconostasis, he was awestruck: the icon of the Theotokos began spurting water from her hands! He called two ladies who were present in the church up to the icon, and he fell down prostrate before her image.
The same icon wept on two other occasions.
